I got a call from a man with a South Asian accent who greeted me using my full name. He claimed to be calling from a survey company called UK Today. When I questioned how they had my contact details, he told me it was from another firm that either me or someone in my family had apparently registered with in the past six months. Just as I was about to tell him not to ring me again on this number, he cut me off and started talking over me, saying he wouldn't remove my number from their list. I just hung up and blocked the number afterwards.

They called and just stayed on the line for like 10 seconds before hanging up. Bet they were hoping I’d ring them back. Not gonna happen... definitely a pass from me.

I got a call from someone saying they were telemarketers and needed to ask me "just 4 questions." The call quality was awful, and the person spoke really quickly with an accent that made it almost impossible to catch the name of the company. I've gone ahead and blocked the number because A, it was a cold call, and B, probably just a telemarketer at best.
