Honestly, I can’t see my eye consultant phoning me on a Sunday, so I just let it go. If it was really from the ophthalmologist, they’d have my address and send a letter instead. To me, this call seems a bit dodgy.

Got a robo call that obviously knew I’d been sent on by my eye doc for cataract surgery. It went through a handful of questions, checking if I wanted extra details from the RNIB on certain things, and asked me to pick where I fancied having the operation from a few options. It even seemed to know the distance of each place from my home. I told my optometrist about it and they’re checking it out. At first, it all sounded above board, but after seeing some dodgy reviews online, I’m not so sure now. The call didn’t get any personal info from me except which surgery location I chose.
