I tried to call, but it didn’t seem to recognise the number at all.

I had a rather unpleasant encounter with a chap who had quite a thick accent. He actually called out my name, but when I made it clear I wasn’t keen on whatever he was selling, he turned rather nasty. It was rather shocking, to say the least!
