Got a call from Switch Energy Network about that ECO4 thing for folks on means tested benefits. They said they can help with stuff like putting in wall and loft insulation, upgrading boilers and even solar panels. They wanted to set up a home survey to check if I qualify. Bit sudden but sounds useful if it’s legit.

Hello there! Just wanted to share that this is a bona fide company involved in matters such as solar panels and the like. The number in question actually belongs to their surveying team, who are responsible for scheduling appointments with customers that have typically already been pre-approved for grants and various government initiatives.

Got solar panels fitted without paying a penny, thanks to a government grant. Yay me!

These pesky intruders really ought to cease their incessant ringing!

I found out that it's actually Switch Energy Network behind the Government's Green Homes Scheme. Contrary to what it may seem, it's not spam nor are they trying to peddle anything. They simply coordinate appointments for various tradespeople to carry out the work you’ve been approved for. Oddly enough, their number pops up as spam on my phone, which is rather silly when a quick online search leads you directly to the SEN website. Quite astonishing, really!

Definitely not spam and no sales pitch either. This call came from someone linked with Switch Energy, who I think are partnered with Eon. We're getting new solar panels installed along with loft insulation and trickle vents through the Government’s Green Homes Scheme, which is completely free for us. Their last phone call was just to schedule the final survey appointment with the technician before they come to fit the solar panels next week.

I got a call from a company claiming they’re independent but actually working with some eco government funding or something, offering to swap boilers on a grant-free plan for folks on benefits. Not too sure if that’s legit though, needs a proper look.

This number has rung me a few times lately, about three or so. Not sure who it is at all. I just let it ring out without picking up.

Picked up the phone, but there was nothing but silence before they disconnected.

I’ve had three calls from this number, all of them unknown to me. When I answered, there was no one on the line. Feels a bit dodgy, maybe some type of scam since I’ve never had any contact with whoever owns this number.

Is it alright to give them a call? I'm a bit unsure about the safety of doing so.

Every morning this number, 01135182000, keeps calling me over and over. They never say anything or leave a message - just ring and then cut off straight away. It's really frustrating.

Every morning, right at the start of the day, I get a call from a number I don’t recognise. They never say a word or leave any voicemail; they just disconnect straight away. It’s a bit weird but not really worrying.

Just picked up the phone and immediately got cut off. Definitely a scam call.
