I received a call claiming I’d won a prize in the postcode lottery. I promptly ended the conversation.

Got loads of calls off these lottery scammers for days and finally answered. I was well aware they were after my info, so I just messsed about with them. Pretended I was hard of hearing and had a funny way of talking, acting proper chuffed to chat. Kept fiddling with my phone volume too. When they asked for my bank info, I made them hang about for ages while I pulled on my prosthetic leg to get my card, then I said I couldn’t read the numbers properly, then my phone died. Had a right laugh, looking forward to them ringing back!

I reckon this number's linked to those Rest Assured funeral plans or something like that. My phone flagged it as a possible scam. They've been ringing me since the 8th of June, but I just block them straight away, so I never actually pick up.

This number +441135123629 kept ringing me about 7 times from the 8th to the 11th of June. Every time I saw it, my phone flagged it as “suspected spam," so I just left all their calls unanswered.

They kept ringing all day, but stopped just after about four rings each time. Feels like they were probably blasting out loads of calls, and once someone picked up before me, they must’ve hung up on all the other lines.

Every time I pick up, I get told "this isn’t the right extension number!" - bit annoying really.

they've rang me a couple of times but I just ignore the calls.

Some claimed they were calling from the national lottery, trying to play on people's hope of winning big. I sussed it was dodgy right away, mainly because they didn't know my email, which the real national lottery for sure have on file. Oddly, they did have my phone number, address and birthday though. Just a heads up - watch out and don't fall for it. Sorry for the gamble of trusting them!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the lottery service, saying I had some free luck dips waiting for me. She actually knew my name, which was kinda creepy. I just told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the national lottery with a free special offer and lucky dips. They said they didn’t need payment info but asked for my bank details to send winnings. Sounded fishy to me, just another trick to steal bank info. I ended the call straight away.

Sounds like a total scam to me - some bloke pretending to be from HMRC saying they were gonna take legal steps against me.
