someone rang claiming to be from sky as an expert or something, but it’s all just the same old scam trying to trick you into thinking you’ve been in a crash or anything like that. stay clear of these ambulance chaser types.

I got a call asking if I had recently applied online to TalkTalk, which was right. They then offered to set it up again on the phone, but I found it strange that the credit check cost £60 by phone. When I did it online, there was no mention of paying anything like £50 or £60. Quite odd, really.

Initially, there's an automated voice and if you hit 1, a person comes on claiming your IP address has been hacked or something like that. I quickly figured this was a scam trying to get you to give them control over your PC. I just ended the call straight away. Other well-known sites have flagged this number too, so just do a quick Google search before you trust it.
