I got a call from someone who said he was 'John' from 'UK Pensions' in Leeds, but he had a really strong Indian accent. He wanted details about my pension. Got a call from 01134931207 at exactly 18:12 on the 5th of October 2016. Picked up my mobile but stayed quiet, I always wait for the other person to talk first. It was a woman’s voice, kept repeating “Hello, Hello.” Sounded like a proper English accent and quite pleasant, but I’m not one to be fooled so I just let her keep saying hello with no reply till she hung up.

Got a call on my mobile earlier today - 20/8/16 - but didn’t pick up. I usually avoid calling back numbers with weird codes because they might be a “cost trap”. Basically, if you return the call, you could end up paying around £42 just for making the call! Sometimes they even charge you for answering. When I started using Sky broadband, I got calls pretending to be from Sky asking me for my password. I rang up Sky (my landline supplier) about it and gave them the number, which was different from the one that called me today. They said it looked like a legit Sky number but apparently these scammers can fake numbers to make them seem real. Don’t bother with these dodgy calls, just ignore them and hit “off”.
