I received a call from someone purporting to be from O2, claiming they had a fantastic offer for a new SIM card with a hefty 30% off and reduced call rates. They wanted me to provide my email and postcode to verify my identity. In the end, they shifted me over to their so-called ‘discount’ department, trying to get me to make a payment via credit or debit card. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
