I told her I don’t even have an Amazon account. Then she tried to confirm my name, but it was backwards or something weird like that. Told her it wasn’t me, and then she just ended the call. Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was calling from Amazon about some kind of security problem with my account. He wanted to know if he was speaking to me. I told him I wasn’t available but that I was actually Mahatma Ghandi, and asked if I could assist. He got pretty nasty and just ended the call on me. I’m sure he didn’t buy the Mahatma Ghandi line, just like I didn’t buy that he was legit from Amazon.

Got a call from a bloke with a heavy foreign accent saying he was 'Phil Jones' from Amazon's security team. He said there'd been some odd activity on my account. I told him the number he rang used to belong to my mum who sadly passed away years ago - she would've been 90 now - and she never had an Amazon account. Then he said someone was using the number to set up a fake account. I told him I’m pretty quick to recognise scams, and he just went quiet and said 'Oh'. Then he hung up.

Got a call around 10.30 am from someone saying he was Bryan from Amazon security. He wanted to know if I'd made a purchase over £700. I told him I hadn't. Then he asked if I'd shared my information with anyone, which I denied. Next, he requested me to check my account, but I said I couldn't do that. I thanked him and ended the call. After about 10 minutes, I tried calling back the number but it wouldn’t connect. Definitely a scam.

I tried to argue with the guy, but he kept telling me to open search, then EVENT, then press ctrl and other keys or something. It sounded dodgy so I just hung up. She asked if I’d seen an email they apparently sent me the night before that I needed to do something about, but the only message I had was the usual Daily Picks reminder. Got a call from 01134900703, some guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Adam and that he was from Amazon Security. As soon as he started talking, I hung up and looked the number up - turns out it’s definitely a scam. Tried to block it on my landline but the block list is full! These scammers are just relentless, it’s so frustrating. Why can’t something be done to get rid of these calls?

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming someone bought stuff worth £700 using my card. When I told him I’d ring Amazon directly, he shouted that I was already talking to their security manager or something. I checked the number afterwards and found loads of warnings saying it’s a total scam!

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Amazon’s fraud team asking if I’d bought a smartphone the night before. They told me to look at my emails for an Amazon confirmation, but there was nothing there. I hung up straight away. Definitely a scam call.

Some woman named Anna said she was from Amazon Security. I told her to wait a moment while I grabbed paper and a pen, but she just hung up on me. After that, I looked up the number and found out it’s linked to a Leeds landline, but it also covers: 01134900000 to 01134909999, which are mobiles for Citycell in Bangladesh.

Just got a call that was completely silent and then it disconnected after a couple of seconds.

This woman rang me up saying someone was trying to use my Amazon to buy a phone. She told me to check my emails so I looked on my mobile but there was nothing there. Then she told me to log in on my computer but I said I don’t own one, and just like that she ended the call.

This number 01134900703 gave me a call, claimed someone was using my info to get a phone. I just asked, "whos info exactly?" and he ended the call straight away. They should really ask that first coz they dont know who they’re chatting to, and how many people live here.
