Just had a call from 0113 490 0451 claiming it was HMRC about my National Insurance being used fraudulently. At first, an automated message warned me about some suspicious activity, then they passed me over to someone who spoke with a heavy foreign accent trying to get my NI details. I asked who he was exactly and he just dropped the call. Be careful and don’t share any personal info with this number. I’ve already reported it to HMRC’s fraud team.
