Trouble is, I’ve never actually tied the knot!4 yearsI received a call claiming there was a dodgy transaction on my bank account for £682 - complete scam! When I requested them to delete my details, the caller just chuckled and cut me off. Not long after, I noticed that over £200 worth of shopping had mysteriously vanished from my account.5 yearsI received a phone call purporting to be from HMRC - they claimed to represent the Inland Revenue. I pointed out that HMRC never makes phone calls asking for personal information, to which he insisted he was affiliated with the Inland Revenue. They alleged I could reclaim funds owed to me due to something called ‘marriage tax’-mind you, I’m not even married! Naturally, I told them they were nothing but scammers and should find a proper job instead of trying to con unsuspecting folks. They promptly hung up on me!HMRCInland Revenue5 yearsReceived a call claiming to be from HMRC.
