Someone mentioned this marriage allowance business and suggested they could assist me in claiming it. Trouble is, I’ve never actually tied the knot!

I got a call about a fake transaction on my account for £682 - total scam. When I told the woman to delete my info, she just laughed and ended the call. Since then, more than £200 has been spent on my card in shops without my permission.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Inland Revenue, representing HMRC. I told them HMRC never ring up asking for personal info, but he insisted he was with the Inland Revenue. They said I could get a refund from some sort of marriage tax, even though I’m not married. I told the bloke to stop wasting time and that he was a con artist. Then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC. Pretty sure they don’t operate past 5pm and usually send letters for anything important. Definitely a scam, best not to pick up.

I answered the call, but the person on the other end just stayed silent.
