Received a call from someone purporting to be from HMRC - my initial thought was just another irritating scam. I played along, but before long, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. Fast forward three hours, and I find a voicemail from the very same number, ominously warning me of a warrant for my arrest. It's quite alarming; some unsuspecting individual might fall for this ruse. They'll either fork out a hefty sum or, worse yet, face a serious health crisis from the stress. It’s high time these crooks were tracked down; surely it can't be that challenging in this day and age. A firm sentence of five years seems only fair - and if this nonsense leads to someone's demise, I reckon it should be treated as manslaughter or worse.

I've just received a similar call warning me about some tax evasion from 2012 to 2017, claiming there's a warrant out for my arrest and that I'm supposed to appear in court. I decided to call back to get more information, and after gathering a few details, I mentioned that I have all my payslips from previous and current jobs. I told them I’d be heading to the local police station equipped with that proof to show I've settled everything. That’s when they abruptly ended the call! Quite the dodgy tactics, if you ask me.

The number he rang from was 0113 478 0490 and he mentioned some case file HM 271580. Don’t fall for it, it’s obviously a scam. Someone should really get the police involved.

They didn’t have anything about me apart from my name and tried to get me to buy Tesco vouchers to sort out my supposed debt. I told them, "Oh right, this is one of those scams, isn’t it?" and then he got really aggressive with me over the phone! Fabulous customer service, I must say! Just like a few others have said, I got a voicemail saying I missed a court date and there's supposedly a warrant out for me. They told me to ring the number back. But I didn’t bother calling, seems dodgy 'cause cops wouldn’t leave a message like that about an arrest warrant.

Got a voicemail from some automated system claiming I missed a court date and warned me a warrant would be issued if I didn’t get in touch. It had a number to ring back, but trust me, don’t call it. This is definitely a scam.

Received a couple of automated messages claiming I had unpaid taxes, with the second one ominously stating that a warrant was out for my arrest! I’ve blocked the number. Seems like a dodgy ploy to fish for my banking info, if you ask me.
