Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC. I played along, thinking it was probably another scam or just someone pestering me. They abruptly hung up after I said "OK." Then, about three hours later, the same number left a voicemail warning me there’s a warrant out for my arrest. Honestly, poor people might freak out and either cough up loads of cash or end up having a heart attack or stroke. It’s mad how these scammers are still out there, they should be tracked down easily with today’s tech. They need proper punishment, like at least five years in prison. If someone actually dies because of this, then that should be treated as murder, don’t you think?

Just got a call like this too, said I’d been dodging tax from 2012 to 2017, had a warrant for my arrest and was supposed to appear in court. So, I rang them back to get more info, grabbed all the details they gave. I told them I’ve got every payslip from my old and current jobs and that I’d head to the police with them to prove I‘ve paid everything. Then, they just cut me off. Quite the cheek!

So I got a call from some bloke saying his name was Eric Yearn 109, and he reckoned he was from HMRC, telling me I owed £3600 for tax evasion. The number he rang from was 0113 478 0490 and he mentioned some case file HM 271580. Don’t fall for it, it’s obviously a scam. Someone should really get the police involved.

They only knew my name, no other details, and told me to go buy Tesco vouchers to pay off some supposed debt. I immediately said, "Oh, so you’re one of those scammers, right?" Got a voicemail from an automated message saying there’s a court order and a warrant for my arrest, mentioned someone called J. I was a bit freaked out so I phoned them back. A bloke answered claiming to be a police officer, badge number 98523, called Mark Ftone (or was it Stone?). When I asked him to spell his name, he messed it up - said T for Tom instead of Tango, and couldn’t get his own surname right! Then he said he was from HMRC and that I’d filled in a form wrong. Got a voicemail from some automated system claiming I missed a court date and warned me a warrant would be issued if I didn’t get in touch. It had a number to ring back, but trust me, don’t call it. This is definitely a scam.

Got a couple of robotic calls that left messages - first one about some tax I supposedly haven’t paid, then another saying I’ve got a warrant for my arrest! Definitely dodgy, so I just blocked the number. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to grab bank info.
