I got a call not long ago from a woman asking for a person who’s been gone for like two decades. When I told her that, she just said, “well, f### it” and then suddenly ended the call. Still have no clue why she even rang in the first place.

Got a call from some woman from a place called Energy Savers, sounded like she was reading from a script as fast as she could. When I asked how they got my number, she said it was from some ‘UK database’. I told her I’m actually on the TPS, so shouldn’t be listed there. She just replied, ‘You’re in the UK, so you must be on it,’ then abruptly ended the call. Proper daft response if you ask me.

I had a rather peculiar encounter with a sales team pitching cavity wall insulation. When I mentioned that I already had it installed, they promptly switched gears and attempted to sell me a wall coating supposedly to combat the damp that their insulation supposedly creates. Quite the irony, isn’t it?
