i get calls from this number pretty much every day. didnt pick up before but the other week i was expecting an important call so i decided to answer. the person sounded like a woman from India, i told her straight away i dont give out personal info on calls and asked to be removed from their list. but it seems like it made no difference because the calls keep coming.

Whenever I’m free, I answer calls from these numbers just to mess around and kill some time. In one go, they quizzed me about my age, whether I drive, if I’ve got a house, any loans or mortgages, and even tried to pitch a raffle for a quid a month. They also wanted to know if I’m married, my internet provider, and if I’d had any accidents recently. Feels like a rubbish scam to scoop up info, maybe for something dodgy.

They keep ringing me about 4 or 5 times daily. I usually ignore, but once I picked up, they just ended the call. I've blocked their number, but they just switch it up a little and keep ringing. Proper frustrating. Total nuisance calls!

I’ve had this number ring me about 5 times over the past week. A woman said she was calling from the Philippines and wanted me to do a survey. She seemed to know my name. I told her I wasn’t interested and asked where she got my number from. She just said goodbye and hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from Verso Group - [#][#]versogroup[###]/ - Looks like they’re registered with the TPS, so adding your number to the Telephone Preference Service should help block these. I’d also suggest ringing their main office, ask for the Compliance Manager (last I heard it was someone called Joanne Mason) and put in a Subject Access Request. That way you can find out how they got your details in the first place and stop it before it starts.

Got a call on Friday and one today from someone claiming to be with UK Verso. The initial caller asked to confirm my address, but lucky for me it was my previous address so they can’t find me now! I've gone ahead and blocked their number.

They use English first names and surnames, but they aren't really Alex Wilson. She actually took part of my address to make her surname 😂. They have all the info like name and address, but strangely enough, they don't know your age - that’s one of the questions they ask.

I was expecting a crucial callback, so I picked up straight away. The person on the line claimed to be conducting a survey and knew my exact address. When I asked where they’d gotten my info from, they couldn’t give a clear answer. I then requested to speak with a supervisor, who also seemed clueless and got flustered - funnily enough, I overheard another supervisor coming on because they’d forgotten to mute her. After about 10 minutes of this ridiculous back-and-forth, still no explanation for how they had my details. I told them to remove all my information from their records and ended the call.
