I tend to get calls from this number nearly every day, but I had managed to ignore them until last week when I was anticipating an important call. When I finally picked up, it was a woman with an Indian accent. I made it clear that I didn't share personal information on the phone and requested to be removed from their list. However, that seems to have fallen on deaf ears, as the calls keep coming. It really feels like I'm being intruded upon-my privacy is completely disregarded.

Whenever I find myself with a bit of idle time, I tend to answer calls from these numbers just to have a bit of fun at their expense. The last time, they bombarded me with questions-how old I was, whether I drove, owned property, had any loans or mortgages, their lovely little £1 monthly raffle offer, my marital status, who my broadband provider was, and whether I’d experienced any accidents in the past five years-all crammed into a single conversation! It’s a right con job, trying to gather personal information for who knows what dodgy reasons.

Got a call from Verso Group - [#][#]versogroup[###]/ - Looks like they’re registered with the TPS, so adding your number to the Telephone Preference Service should help block these. I’d also suggest ringing their main office, ask for the Compliance Manager (last I heard it was someone called Joanne Mason) and put in a Subject Access Request. That way you can find out how they got your details in the first place and stop it before it starts.

Got a call on Friday and one today from someone claiming to be with UK Verso. The initial caller asked to confirm my address, but lucky for me it was my previous address so they can’t find me now! I've gone ahead and blocked their number.

I answered a call as I was anticipating an important return call. The advisor on the line claimed she was conducting a survey and proceeded to recite my address. When I inquired about how they obtained my details, she admitted she had no idea. I requested to speak to a supervisor, only to discover that she was equally in the dark. After a bit of a muddle-she had clearly left her mic on-I was transferred to another supervisor, this time an English speaker, who also couldn't clarify the source of my information. I found the whole situation quite comical, although it cost me a ridiculous 10 minutes of my time. Eventually, I instructed them to erase my information from their records and ended the call.
