Said they were calling from "Family First" to check on life insurance, but it’s obvious they’ve got rubbish info. Hopefully with the new privacy laws being introduced soon they’ll clear out all this old data - you can ask them to erase your details and they legally have to.

I picked up and the line had this weird 'ping' sound followed by a recorded lady saying ‘goodbye’, just like others have mentioned. I've blocked the number so it won’t ring again. Then, out of the blue, I got another call from a separate number where they wanted me to verify my postcode. Some guy claiming to be from your Visa called me asking to confirm my postcode. I told him I wasn’t giving out any details until he explained what the call was about. He said he was from my Visa company, but I asked how he could be from Visa if he doesn’t know who I bank with. Then he just hung up on me! Definitely a scam, best to ignore calls like this.

Some bloke said he was from this claims company called pcp or summat. When I told him I don't do bank payments, he went on about my dad and mum having "intimate relations" in a proper daft way. I said well yeah, obviously they did. He wasn’t too bright and took ages to get it, but by the end he was so confused about how babies are made, I just dropped the call. If he ever reads this, maybe next time try something better like "your mum's a hamster and your dad smells of elderberries" for a proper finish. Honestly, the lad’s not fit for any job.

Got a call today and they asked for me by my first name. Claimed to be from PCC about some refund I was owed, I told them no. They just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away. Total scammers - my tip, don't pick up for unknown numbers, if it's real they'll leave a voicemail or send a text.

There's this really pushy woman claiming I’m due a refund for some product I supposedly got from them. Like, from who? What product even? She kept insisting I was owed cash. I told her she should be apologising for making stuff up. Then she goes, "ffs," and just ends the call! Such a classy way to handle things!
