I got a call from someone claiming to be from AVIVA. Things got suspicious when they asked me to verify my car registration. Once I figured out they weren't actually AVIVA, I ended the call right away. The next day, they rang again and actually used my name! When I told them I didn't want to continue the conversation, they threatened to cancel my insurance policy. They kept insisting AVIVA needed those details. But as soon as I mentioned I’d check with AVIVA myself, they just hung up on me.

I recently found myself dealing with some dodgy characters who were making outrageous claims about how they got hold of my information. They pretended to be representing the insurance company of the other party involved in an accident, insisting they could help lodge a claim for our injuries. However, their story didn’t add up-everything they said was utter nonsense! Remarkably, they had some accurate details about the incident such as names, time, date, and even the registration number, which was rather concerning. When I attempted to call them back, they were very evasive and refused to reveal their identity until they knew who I was. It’s definitely a scam!

Got a call from a Motor Legal firm claiming they were acting for Aviva, but wouldn't say if it was for me or someone else. When I rang Aviva, they said they'd never told them to call me. Called the company back, and the guy still insisted he was working for Aviva, asking about the incident before suddenly telling me I might be due compensation. I told him I already have legal cover handling it, and he said he'd "note that down." He got quite annoyed when I questioned if Aviva had really hired them. Blocked the number - best not to pick up!

Got a call from someone calling himself "Simon Moore," claiming my insurance had reached out to him. When I asked who exactly got in touch, he just wouldn’t tell me, hiding behind data protection rules. After I kept asking him a few more things, he got quite rude, told me he was busy at work and that I was wasting his time, then just abruptly hung up on me.

The day following an incident, I began to get bombarded with calls - somewhere around 8 to 10 a day, if I recall correctly. I didn't bother picking up the phone, nor did I have any inclination to appreciate their relentless attempts. In the end, I simply decided to block the number.

Keeps popping up with a Leeds number, right? Over the last four days, my phone has been bombarded with calls, anywhere from four to eleven times a day, and not once have they bothered to leave a message. The moment those calls finally ceased, I began receiving a barrage of calls from 0131 236 9995, which is apparently tied to Edinburgh, Scotland. A little digging around reveals it's associated with an accident claims firm. Seems a bit dodgy, doesn’t it? I can’t help but think there's a connection, as the Scottish calls kicked off right after the Leeds ones finally stopped. What are the odds?
