Over the past few weeks, I’ve gotten about 6 calls from people pretending to be from Amazon, the tax office, and different energy companies. They’re definitely scams. Best to just not pick up or say anything, then block the number straight away.

Got a call from an Indian bloke who was pretty tricky to follow. He tried to get me to verify a different name and address, but I told him I never give personal info over the phone. He kept insisting he wasn’t trying to sell anything and said it’d only take a couple of quick questions. We just went back and forth since he wouldn’t admit the name and address were clearly made up. Ended up holding the conversation until he gave up and ended the call himself 😂😂

Got a call from someone called Jane at the Verso Group saying she wouldn't be a bother and wanted me to take a quick survey about my energy provider. I decided to look them up online and found loads of complaints, including a BBC Watchdog report revealing they'd been fined £80,000 for dodgy PPI calls. Even after I mentioned all that, she kept interrupting me, so I just hung up and bit the bullet by blocking their number.

I keep getting phone calls here asking for someone called "Barbra Mitchell," but I've had this same number for almost ten years and have no idea who she is. It's happened quite a few times now.

this indian lady called me, saying she was from ‘verisole’ regarding an nhs form. she already had my name and address. when i refused to share more details since i didn’t trust the company, she got annoyed. i just ended the call.

this number rang me and the moment i answered, they just dropped the call. I tried ringing back and heard some robotic voice with a dodgy american accent, probably some call centre in india, telling me it was after hours. definitely smells like a scam. bit annoying they didn’t stay on the line, i was about to give them a blast on my whistle just for fun.
