This number has been ringing us quite a few times every week for the past several months - I’ve lost count but it’s definitely over 40 now. When we pick up, they either drop the call straight away or we get dead air right after saying hello. We still haven’t got a clue what they want. Like many others who’ve posted here, we don’t owe any money, so if it’s some sort of debt collection, they’re barking up the wrong tree! With landline calls these days, it’s most likely some unwanted nuisance or maybe even a scam.

I don't owe any money and couldn't really understand what the lady was saying. She mentioned something about it not being a sales call, but it was hard to catch. I'm a bit hard of hearing and after dialling 1471, this number showed up. Definitely not happy with receiving this call.

Got some dodgy call from someone leaving loads of voicemails with some reference numbers, saying it wasn’t a sales pitch. Pretty obvious scam to me. Don’t bother replying, just ignore it.

they keep ringing my mum non stop and even go as far as lying that she owes them money which she definitely doesn’t! i think they’re just after her credit card info and passwords or something. if you get a call from them, just hang up and don’t say a word!

I’m really sick of the constant calls on my landline, even though I’m registered with TPS. They keep asking for a Lucy Moore, who has no connection to me whatsoever. I’ve blocked the numbers a couple of times, but somehow they still manage to get through. I’ve never heard of J C Acquisitions or that reference number 6147088. I don’t plan on calling back a company I’ve never had any contact with, especially when I have no clue who they’re after. They’ve never been linked to my address, or this phone line, which is a newly set up VOIP one.

Seems like it's a debt collection firm. Loads of folks mentioned getting calls from them looking for someone who ain't there. I reckon some people are giving out bogus numbers or aliases and then skipping on paying. When the debt gets handed to this agency, they have your phone, but a name that doesn’t match you. That’s probably why they keep ringing and even after months, they’re still after the same person.

Just got a new phone number and it's been non-stop scam calls. Thankfully, my Truecall app blocks every one of them so my phone doesn’t even buzz.
