Hi everyone. This is a genuine number for paying eBay seller fees. I got it straight from eBay themselves. It might not be an official eBay line but they seem to act for eBay. I owed about £13.80 and paid it through this number. Within an hour, my account was reactivated. The woman I talked to sounded like she was working from home for eBay - she wasn’t just reading a script and was quite friendly. Nothing dodgy here, in my opinion. I keep getting calls from this firm every single day. I don’t even have an eBay account and my landline’s brand new since I changed providers to avoid junk calls. They say they're chasing a debt for ebay and give you a payment link, but the site it leads to looks like it was slapped together by a toddler. There's no security certificate on the page, so if you enter your card info, it's sent in plain text - meaning anyone could nick your details and commit fraud. Seriously, never ever put your card details on a site without a proper HTTPS certificate. These lot are total amateurs trying to get you exposed to fraud. Just block them, delete the message, and report it as a GDPR violation.

ugh, here we go again with some dodgy debt collector, got nothing to do with this scam. always best to sort your debts straight through ebay, even if it’s just little bits at a time. you can usually do that even if your account gets frozen. lets shut down these shady lot and their bogus admin charges for good. they just want people to freak out and hand over money instead of paying ebay directly. adding made-up fees or chasing after paid debts or stuff that isnt even owed - it’s proper disgusting.

I keep getting texts from this number, but I've no idea who it is. The message says they've been trying to reach me with a solution and to give them a ring. They don’t say who they are or mention any amounts owed. Just a plain text, no email or anything in the post. Feels dodgy, so I’ve blocked the number. Avoid these scammers at all costs. I got a message claiming I owed £20 on an eBay account that I’ve only ever used to buy stuff, and none of my purchases were for that exact amount. There wasn’t a single notification on my eBay either. Don’t bother calling them or trying another way to get in touch - it’s absolutely a total con. Consider yourself warned!
