After reading through loads of comments here, I’m convinced this number belongs to a call centre using some sort of auto dialler to blast out as many calls as it can each day. It’s clear they don’t bother checking if the numbers are on the TPS, they’re just paid based on the amount of calls they get through, with extra bonuses when they actually get someone on the line. This means they’ll say or do anything just to make the call counts go up. Calling them scammers is putting it lightly - honestly, I’d say they’re just plain rubbish.

I got a call on my landline earlier today and when I picked up, a lady asked if I was Mr (blocked). I told her I’m on the TPS list, so why was she ringing me? She claimed she was from TPS and that she’d block my number! Very odd as I’ve been registered with TPS for ages. Definitely looks like a spam call to me, so I'll just block and ignore it. If they keep calling, I’ll be reporting them to the ICO.

Got a call from this number earlier today, and since it had a Leeds dialling code I picked up. As soon as I said hello, I could hear loads of background noise like a call centre. But then the person on the other end just hung up straight away. Seen the other comments here so I’m definitely adding it to my block list. Not much use trying to trust the TPS, eh!

I usually let my answerphone pick up to catch who’s trying to ring my landline. If it’s something that matters, the person usually leaves a message with what I need to call them back. If not, it’s no bother to me. Any calls that just stay quiet and then hang up? Those are definitely scam calls and I just ignore them completely.

Got a call on our home phone at 11:30am on 06/04. Luckily our BT call-guardian picked it up (seriously, everyone with a landline should have something like this). Looked the number up on this great site and have now blocked it. I honestly don’t understand how people can handle working in those call centres.

Same here, I ignored it since there was no voicemail and the number was unfamiliar. This isn’t the first occassion I've been called from this one. They seem to ignore that my number's on the TPS list. Makes me wonder if this system actually works at all. Whatever became of Data Protection rules? Just got a missed call from this number when I got back home from work. There wasn’t any voicemail, so I had a look on this handy site! Cheers for the help!! I've had calls like this before from different Huddersfield numbers, probably the same outfit as I found them here too. Like others have said, I don’t pick up unless there’s a message or it’s someone I know. I’m on the TPS list as well, but doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Got a call from this number on my mobile at 1.13pm today. Since it’s not in my contacts, I missed it and left it unanswered. Looking it up here, seems like it was some kind of marketing call. Got a call from a woman claiming she was with a home improvement firm trying to sell money-saving stuff. Asked her where she got my number from, she said some UK database. Told her I’m on the TPS, she said sorry but kept pushing to chat. I told her I wasn’t interested. She went on about my electricity being over 20 years old, I said it’s not, then just ended the call. She sounded annoyed and kept asking why I didn’t want to speak, said it’s because I don’t, and hung up.

01133504062 rang my landline at 12:16 on 22/01/19, a woman with what sounded like an Asian accent said she had my name and address, which were both right, and that she was calling about home improvements. I told her we’ve had loads of calls from similar companies and I’m not interested in any home improvement work. She just kept repeating my name and address, which I didn’t confirm, and I asked where they got my info from. She said it was from some national database. I told her I’m on the TPS and then she just hung up without saying anything else. Really frustrating.
