A few days back, my other half got a call from this number with some weird automated message that sounded quite threatening. We both knew straight away it was a scam. The next day, I decided to ring them back from my work phone and messed around a bit. They kept asking for the phone number they first called, even though I threw them a fake name. After a while, they just kept dropping the call because I was clearly asking too many tricky questions. What a rubbish bunch! Honestly, I just hope no one gets caught out by this.

I keep getting calls from what seems like the exact same number, with some robotic American voice saying something like Dennis or Denise Gray. They say it’s urgent and that either me or my solicitor needs to ring back straight away. No matter how many times I block the number, it’s always a slightly different one popping up, so blocking doesn’t seem to help at all :(

Got this weird automated call from someone saying they're an officer named Dennis at HMRC. Got a call like that too, saying it was urgent stuff. I rang them back and they already knew my name and where I live. Then they asked for my lawyer’s info. They said HMRC had done a criminal probe and charged me with five offences. They warned my accounts would be frozen. I told them off and then they just ended the call. Reckon that’s the last time I’ll hear from them.
