Got an email about renewing my Norton Antivirus subscription, and this number was in it. We’ve never even used Norton, so it’s pretty obvious it was just another scam trying to fish for info.

Just like the person before me, I had this number pop up in a sketchy email that looked like a total scam. The email didn’t have any links, only that phone number. Felt pretty suspicious to me!

Got a couple of emails from these lot, using this number as their contact. They said they just took £400 from my PayPal for auto-renewal on antivirus. Asked me to ring the number if I had questions. No doubt, it's a scam.

On Saturday, my 95-year-old aunt got a call from someone claiming to be from her bank, saying there was suspicious activity on her debit card. They convinced her to cancel the card and toss it away. Once they had her trust, they managed to get a lot of personal details, even her National Insurance number. It's worrying to think what they could do with all that info - like messing with her passport or benefits. Luckily, the bank has been very helpful, but I’m still anxious about what might come next. We’ve already alerted the police.

Was that someone saying something like “Mr mumblemumble”? (Had a bit of an Asian accent)
(Sounded kinda like my last name) “Yes?”
Then a lot of unclear talking about Nationwide, couldn’t really catch it.
“Are you with Nationwide?”
“No, I’m not.”
“Do you have a Nationwide credit card or account?”
“Nope, neither.”
The whole thing made no sense.
(I just hung up)
Honestly, what a rubbish scam! How do people fall for this and actually give out their bank info? Guess they must, otherwise these muppet scammers wouldn’t still be about - probably mugging old folks instead.

Today I got a call telling me to ring this number because of some dodgy stuff happening on my account. I double-checked with my bank and they said there was nothing wrong. Anyway, I reported my card as stolen and had it cancelled just to be safe.

Today, I got a call about my debit card being charged for some plane tickets, but it was obvious it was a scam straight away. The bloke didn’t sound professional at all and had a weird accent.

Got a call claiming to be from the fraud team at TSB, ringing my elderly relative to say some cash had been taken from her account. They gave her this same number to call back on, but it all felt fishy. I told her to avoid calling it, as it definitely looks like a scam. We’re now going to report this number to both the bank and the police.

This number has called me a few times claiming they're from NatWest's Fraud Team. I'm not quite sure if they're legit or not.
