I recently received an email regarding the renewal of my Norton Antivirus subscription, which included this telephone number. The thing is, I've never owned that product, so it’s obviously a dodgy attempt to reel in unsuspecting folks.

Just like the last person mentioned, I've received an email featuring this phone number, and it's obviously a scam. There are no hyperlinks in the message, merely this number listed. Very shady indeed!

I've had a couple of dodgy emails from this lot, citing this number as their point of contact. They're saying that they've purportedly processed an auto-renewal for some anti-virus software through PayPal, billing me £400! They’ve urged me to ring up this number if I have any questions. No doubt about it, these folks are up to no good!

My 95-year-old aunt received a call on Saturday from someone claiming to be a bank representative, expressing worry over her debit card activity. He managed to gain her trust and persuaded her to destroy her card. Unfortunately, he then went on to extract a wealth of personal information from her, including her National Insurance Number. The thought of what they might do with that information, like applying for loans or accessing benefits, makes me uneasy. The bank has been incredibly supportive during this ordeal, yet I can’t shake the concern that this might lead to further issues. We’ve reported the incident to the police, but it still leaves me worried sick.

Today, I received a call from someone who provided this number, claiming I needed to ring it to report my card as stolen. I sensed immediately that it was a scam!

Is that Mr. Mumble Mumble? (In an Asian voice)
(Sounded somewhat like my last name) Oh, is it?
A whole lot of mumbling from Nationwide, far too much, in fact.
Are you calling from Nationwide, then?
Indeed. Did you make an online purchase earlier today?
I don’t possess a Nationwide account.
Not even a credit card with Nationwide?
Absolutely not.
I’m baffled about how this situation even exists.
(I disconnect the call)
What an embarrassing effort! Do individuals actually divulge their financial information to these people? I can only assume they do; otherwise, they might as well be out robbing elderly folks on the streets.

I received a rather alarming call earlier today instructing me to ring this number due to purported suspicious behaviour linked to my account. Naturally, I reached out to my bank for clarification. They assured me there was no irregular activity whatsoever. In fact, they instantly flagged my card as compromised and have gone ahead to cancel it. Quite the scare!

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call claiming that my debit card had been tapped for some airline ticket purchases. I recognized it as a scam right away; the chap on the line was decidedly unconvincing and had an accent that set off alarm bells.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the TSB fraud team, reaching out to my elderly family member. They provided this very number, acting as if there were suspicious transactions involving her account. I immediately warned her not to ring the number as it appears to be a scam. I've decided to report this incident both to the bank and the authorities.
