Beware of the number 01133280654, it’s a scam pretending to be Max Recovery. They keep telling you that your debt has been passed on but won’t provide any reference number for you to check with your debt management. Plus, they never send any official letters. My advice? Just ignore their calls and wait till you get something in writing.

Got a call from someone who said he was Martin from Max Recoveries. He told me I owed £2,800 on a credit card, but that can't be right as my balance was zero and the credit card was closed by the provider since I hadn’t used it for over a year. So, I just ended the call and put the number straight on block.

Got a call from someone saying they’d taken over my credit card debt, asking me to cough up £1850. That’s way over what I actually owe! They also tried to scare me by mentioning a CCI. Pretty sure it was a total scam.

Got a call from a bloke saying he was from Max Debt Recovery, claiming they’re chasing some debts of mine. He gave my name spot on, but mixed up my date of birth and address. When I pointed out the mistakes, he got all hostile, insisting he was right. I told him the debts were supposedly for Mr Lender and Piggy Bank, which didn’t sound right to me. When I questioned his info, he threatened court action. I just told him to go ahead and send the letter, I’ll wait for it. Total cods, wouldn’t trust these lot!

Hey everyone, I got a ring from this number and the guy said his name was Martin Lawarencel. He tried telling me I owed some money and had to sort it out immediately. I had a look into it and it turned out to be a load of rubbish. Watch out, they get really nasty if you start asking stuff or don't just follow what they say.
