I keep receiving calls from a lady with a rather thick Indian accent who is relentlessly inquiring about a certain Martin Lodge. I’ve repeatedly explained that Martin Lodge does not reside here, but she seems adamant that she’s got the right number. It’s rather baffling how stubborn she is-every time I have to raise my voice to emphasize that this is a mistake and to kindly request that she cease calling. Today, when I picked up, she addressed me as Mrs Lodge, prompting me once more to clarify that she is mistaken. In a moment of frustration, I asked if I could perhaps speak to someone who might grasp English a bit better-admittedly a tad rude, but she was rather insistent herself! Yet, she carried on regardless, so I opted just to let her ramble on while I tuned out until she finally hung up, realising I wasn’t engaging with her at all.
