For more than two years now, I've been getting calls from this number and a few others looking for someone named Mr Milliband. The callers won't tell me who they are or what company they’re from. I’ve got a feeling they might be debt collectors or something along those lines.

this woman rang me saying she needed an email to send an invoice for some work she’d supposedly done. she claimed to be from google directory. i asked loads of questions and she had answers to most, sounded pretty convincing. in the end i got her when i told her to just send the invoice to the last email address we used with her.

This guy said his name was Jake and claimed he was from Google. He kept pushing me to re-subscribe to their service and just wouldn't accept a no. I told him to leave me alone and figure out why we quit using them ages ago. Then I ended the call.

From what I've found out, they do hidden calls for firms like Search Point UK, which ring up businesses offering a no-cost Google listing. Also, they’re connected to UK Safety Management, doing PAT safety inspections. Best to steer clear of these guys as they keep ringing nonstop and it’s a bit of a nightmare.

Absolutely relentless! I reckon I must've turned her down at least a dozen times. Eventually, I had to flat-out inform the caller that I was on the verge of ending the conversation.

A woman rang up saying she’d made some deal with someone else at the office about Google (but mixed up their name). She kept telling me to check my phone and said I wasn’t grasping how important her call was. She mentioned the usual cost was £249 but I could get it for £100, and if they took down the site that helps us, it would harm our business. I said “NO THANK YOU” like a dozen times, but she wouldn’t give up. Eventually, I told her I was ending the call and then hung up. BEWARE!!

Got a call from some guy named Jake at Search Point saying that we’d enjoyed a free business listing with loads of views but now the free deal was over. He insisted we had to pay £100 or else our Google panel would be removed. Sounds like a total scam to me, best to steer clear of this nonsense.

Got a call saying it was a free listing from Google. They said there wouldn’t be any cost involved and just wanted to double-check the business name and what we do. Seemed a bit iffy to me.

Definitely a rip-off. They said they were from Search Point UK and wanted me to pay £100 right away, but we never agreed to anything with them. Really dodgy behaviour, didn’t want to share much info and tried to persuade me by using details they shoveled off our school’s website. It’s awful they’d stoop so low to try and con a school!

We've dealt with this company called Searchpoint a few times at our office, they help out with Google ads. They check your Google business info and send you codes through the mail. Definitely a proper and trustworthy company.

Got a call from searchpointuk[###] which showed my colleague’s name, so I figured it was legit. They said Google would be sending me a code and asked me for it. I didn’t give it though because my colleague never spoke to them or agreed to anything. Felt a bit dodgy, so I just hung up.

On 15th Dec 2020 at around 10:30am, someone called from 0113 322 2930 claiming to be Will Taylor from Search Company. He said he was the only 'Will' at their office and insisted he’d already spoken to our Manager, which after checking, absolutely wasn’t true. He told us he’d send a code and ring back to help us get free Google searches, like others warned about. I wasn’t convinced and told him to ring back later instead. He definitely hasn’t talked to any of our Managers - he was lying about that. Honestly, don’t waste your time dealing with him!

So annoying! They rang me for some info yesterday, then got in touch again this morning to confirm stuff. After that, they asked for a code which I refused to share. Got multiple calls from someone pretending to be with Google Business, saying they’d been managing our listing and contacts - total rubbish. The first call was about setting things up, then on the second call they said it had been up too long and they’d have to remove it unless we handed over £120, even though we’re a charity. They called again today and shockingly it’s still there, but now they threaten to take it down if we don’t pay up. Absolute nonsense, defo a scam.

I got a call on our work number from a woman named Lily, who was pushing to get our company on a free Google listing for a month. She was pretty persistent and wouldn’t accept being told no. Lucky for us, everyone in the office spotted it was a scam straight away. We’ve reported her to BT so hopefully, they’ll deal with it.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Google and wanted me to pay for a web search service. At first, they said it would be £249 plus VAT, but then offered a discount down to £100 plus VAT. When I mentioned I didn’t have a card to pay and it wasn’t really my decision to make, he quickly asked for whoever could sort the payment. I told him that person wasn’t around right now, and then he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming they’d put our business on Google for free, then tried to charge me £100 plus VAT to keep it active. The woman on the line kept pushing, talking about how many views and calls the listing supposedly generated. I told her repeatedly to remove it as I’m already busy enough and don’t want to waste money on their silly fee, but she wouldn’t back off. In the end, I just hung up. Honestly, don’t waste your time picking up these calls.

This guy called me saying I had loads of work waiting on some site. I said I hadn’t got any jobs from there and if the site existed at all, he should just shut it down.
