Occasionally, I receive calls from this number, but they invariably hang up just as I pick up. On the rare occasion that I manage to answer in time, it’s always met with silence on their end before they disconnect. Quite annoying, if you ask me!

I haven’t answered yet, but it keeps ringing my phone, and I know others who are getting the same calls. If you do answer, just don’t say anything. Apparently, some of these calls are automated, and if the robot picks up a voice, it flags your number as active, which means you’ll get even more spam. If you stay silent, they think your number’s dead and should leave you alone. Heard this from BT, so it’s up to you if you wanna try it or not.

The guy was polite, said he was from some financial firm and I might get money back because I had some loan, credit card, or mortgage before 2009. I told him I didn’t have any. Then he asked if I was sure, I said yes again. After that he said he must have the wrong number and just hung up. I blocked the number now.
