I just got a call from someone claiming to be from Wyndan Group saying I was eligible for a married persons tax allowance of £1150. The number they called from was different to the ones listed here, it was 01133201507 which does come up as Wyndan Group, but the text they sent was from a totally different number, 01937302115. They wouldn’t discuss any charges outright, but in tiny print on their terms it says it’s 30% plus VAT. They kept pressing me for info which I wouldn’t give and kept asking me to click a link in the text - obviously I ignored it.

i reckon those calls are probably from people trapped in some sorta modern slavery, forced to make these calls. the cops should really investigate that. the woman i spoke to had a bit of an accent, sounded foreign. it’s Leeds, so you bet there’s some dodgy slavery stuff going on.

Just got a call like this too. They kept saying I might be eligible for marriage-related benefits. I told them I’m not married and asked how they even had my info. They claimed it came from some third party. I pressed them about it being a GDPR violation. They couldn’t give me the third party’s name but did remove me from their list.

I received a call from someone inquiring if I was Mrs Cupman. When I replied in the negative, the caller abruptly hung up. Curious about their identity, I rang back, but they disconnected me again. Undeterred, I tried once more, and a woman answered, once again asking for Mrs Cupman. Just got a call from 0113 3200680 about an hour ago. It was a woman saying she was from the wyndangroup or something, talking about marriage tax benefits - sounded like total rubbish to me. When I asked for a number to call back after work, she kinda stumbled and said "erm, good question?" She said she'd text me the details as she had my number but still haven’t received anything. Looks like a proper scam to me, absolute muppets. Down here in Leeds, AR.

I looked them up on Google and found [#][#]wyndangroup[###]/ in Leeds. They seem legit, not like scammers, but now that the PPI thing is over, they appear to be trying to make money from other stuff you could probably handle yourself. When they rang me, they said it was about tax refunds for married couples. I told the guy I’m not married, and he said he'd take my details off their list. That’s also mentioned on their website. They don’t do no win/no fee but state "Our charge for a successful Marriage Tax or Packaged Bank Account claim is 36% including VAT."

Handled my own tax refund claiming the married woman’s allowance and was genuinely chuffed to get a nice little cheque through the door. Proper simple to sort without falling for those scam calls. When some caller tried to say they could do it for me and take a big chunk of my refund, I just told them I’d managed it fine on my own and didn’t see why I’d pay them. They hung up straight away! The gov.uk website is dead straightforward and I was well impressed with the result.

When the caller tried to pitch their service, I said I've already done it on Gov.uk and got my cheque without any hassle. I asked why I'd let them handle it and take a cut of my refund? They just hung up. Gov.uk is dead simple to use, and I was well chuffed to get that cheque in the post.

Got a call the other day and thought i'd look them up, turns out they’re a claims management firm that used to handle PPI cases. The bloke who rang me seemed alright with me not wanting their services and just hung up without any fuss. Their fees sounded quite steep to me, but I wouldn’t say they’re a scam or anything. I even phoned their main office to double-check, and they confirmed it was them. When I asked them to block my number, they were very polite and sorted it out straight away.

Right, so first a bloke, then a lady both called from the same number. The guy asked if I was (used my first name). I thought I was chatting with Scot Hydro (cos I’d dialled them first) and said yeah. Then he launched straight into a spiel about tax investments, mentioning somethin like Wyndom or something. Right after, the woman rang, just after I'd called Scot Hydro again using the same spiel. Dunno if it was just a coincidence or what.

Someone called claiming to be from Windhams saying they could help with tax allowance rebates. When I asked where they got my details from, the call suddenly switched to an automated voice, then they hung up and I blocked the number 0113 320 0680.

Got a call from someone who knew my name and talked about some scheme for married people, I just told her I’m not married and she said oh alright then, have a nice day. Called at 6:35 pm. I’m gonna block the number.

Somebody rang up saying they could sort out a married couple’s tax relief, but sounded like a total con to me. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam.

Some guy rang up saying I qualify for marriage benefits and that my tax was done wrong, so I could get a refund. The voice sounded all robotic like it was computer-generated. Definitely just a dodgy scam.

I got a call from a bloke claiming there was some new gov marriage payout going on. He started asking if I was hitched or not. When I didn't play along, he just ended the call. Suspicious if you ask me.

This number just rang me, and when I asked what it was about, they mentioned something about tax. Didn’t sound right at all, so I just ended the call straight away. Reckon it was a dodgy one, glad I didn’t get involved.
