FCC Financial Claims Company - what a totally unique name for a cold caller, right? Somehow they got hold of my number through some third party database, so I told them to remove it. Hopefully with GDPR kicking in on 25th May, stuff like this will be a bit tougher for these annoying or scammy businesses to get away with.

Just like before, the caller was really persistent and refused to hang up even after I told them it was a cold call and that this is a work phone, so no idea how they found my number. They soon figured out I wasn't interested, but it worries me about people who aren’t so firm. When I mentioned it was a cold call, they ignored me and kept talking over me. I’m definitely reporting them because their way of selling is way out of line.

Received a call on my mobile the other day. The chap had a proper thick Leeds accent and kicked things off by calling me “mate” - not exactly my preferred way to start a conversation, if I’m honest! I asked him if I’d actually requested a call from him. His response? “Nah, I’m just phoning everyone across the UK.” Right then, I thought to myself, if he’s got over 60 million people to get through, he should perhaps skip the fluff with me. They were basically offering some sort of bank version of PPI. They had my mobile but wanted my full name and address so they could post me a claims form. I didn’t want to give out my info, and the lady with a Yorkshire accent then handed me over to someone who I guess was the manager. He asked me again and I said no once more.
