This number just won’t stop calling me. I’ve blocked it already, but it still manages to get through. No one ever talks or leaves a message either. Really annoying!

Got a call from Crossfill and Archer based in Leeds, total cold call. I just asked them how they got my number and told them to take me off their list for good. I also warned them to wipe my details from any other companies they're linked with, or I’d be reporting them to Ofcom.

So, 01133200293 is linked to fosb, a firm connected to crosfill & archer. They contact you about reclaiming tax on your ppi claims. Heads up though, if you owe any tax, they’ll first collect that owed amount, then pass the leftover to fosb, who will then deduct about 30% vat from the full award. You might end up in a position where you owe fosb some cash, so be careful before signing up with them.

Just discovered that fosb means Fylde Office Service Bureau Ltd. They’re acting for Crosfil Archer Ltd to handle claims with HMRC about wrongly charged income tax. I rang Crosfil Archer’s head office to make sure, and yep, it’s legit - just a different branch.

Got a call from 01133200293, some bloke with an Indian accent asked if it was me and said my name, then just cut off the call! I’m on the ex-directory list, so how on earth did he get my number? It was my home landline too, and he knew my name, which I find pretty disturbing.
