What’s the hold-up with Ofcom putting an end to this number? It’s nothing short of harassment and a blatant violation of our privacy. Those unsolicited calls from random digital diallers are against the law. It’s absolutely appalling that there’s such a feeble response from the NGAs regarding this issue.

Received a phone call from an Indian gentleman claiming it was in relation to a road traffic incident. When I inquired as to how he obtained my number, he mentioned something resembling the Road Traffic Accident Authority. I immediately called him out on his fib, labelling him a scammer, which he vehemently denied. I informed him that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and demanded he remove my number from his records. His response? A cheeky assurance that he'd be ringing me back. I firmly told him not to, yet he was quite resolute about making another attempt. We shall see if he follows through on that promise. Just to clarify, I don’t even own a vehicle!

What a hectic day it’s been! I received a call and had to cut my mobile short because another phone was going off. As it happens, it was someone from India informing me that I’d been in an accident. Honestly, if these nuisances aren’t dealt with soon, I might just end up in a real mess myself!

I received a curious call regarding a car crash that apparently wasn't my fault. The only issue is, I don’t even drive! When I clarified this, they insisted, "Are you absolutely certain you aren’t a driver?" I mean, really? I should certainly be aware if I operated a vehicle! What utter nonsense! Then, just like that, the line went silent. I'm left bewildered about how they came into possession of such inaccurate information. This seems rather dodgy to me; generating claims of an accident out of thin air and using someone's number without their consent is just plain wrong. Surely, we have the Data Protection Act for a reason, don’t we?

I can relate to your encounter; I had a run-in of my own. I found myself confronting the caller, outright suggesting they were involved in some sort of scam, and it was blindingly obvious they were up to no good. They flatly refused to disclose where they got my information from. When I tried to return the call, the number that popped up was 001133144330. Once again, the chap on the other end had an Asian accent. Dodgy as they come!

I received a call from a woman with an Asian accent, claiming to have information regarding an accident I supposedly had within the past two years. When I mentioned I was going to hand over the call to the local police's Fraud Department, she became quite insistent, stating that it wasn’t a scam and that she had a report from my insurance company. She insisted she was there to assist me. I attempted to end the conversation, but she just wouldn’t stop talking, so I reiterated my farewell and hung up. It’s baffling how these individuals are able to operate a line that is clearly meant for cold calling and fraudulent activities. What a frustrating way to kick off my day!

I received a rather strange call earlier, with someone attempting to claim that I’d been involved in an accident not long ago. I had an unsettling phone call this morning from an individual claiming to be "John" from Microsoft, who had an Asian accent but spoke with an American twang. He asserted that my computer had been compromised with inappropriate content and online gambling activities, threatening that I might be held accountable if any debts were incurred by the alleged hacker. He then insisted that I needed to go to my computer so he could guide me through some sort of 'solution'. When I mentioned that I would consult my son, he abruptly informed me that since my son didn't work for Microsoft, he couldn't assist me and maintained that I needed to handle it myself, as I was the one responsible for the broadband account. I firmly told him I wouldn’t comply with his requests since I had no idea who he was, and promptly ended the call. This isn’t the first instance of such dubious calls; it is high time that some authoritative organisation took decisive action against these fraudulent schemes!

I’ve just had yet another phone conversation with a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer has been compromised by nefarious hackers. Honestly, this was the latest in a series of dodgy calls I’ve received this morning, and I snapped, telling her that she’s the one engaging in criminal activity! Yet, despite my protests, she wouldn’t let up about me turning on my computer. My mum has also been bombarded by calls from this number, all regarding accident claims and computer issues, or the line is just dead. It’s really troubling her. I've managed to block this number for now, but I have no doubt they'll just change to new ones.

I just had a rather peculiar phone call from this number. An Asian lady said she was representing Accident Compensation Ltd, claiming they had details about an accident involving someone at my address that supposedly occurred in the past two and a half years. When I inquired about the specific date of this so-called accident, she informed me that this information was 'locked in the system.' I mentioned that I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, which prohibits such unsolicited calls, and pointed out that no accidents had taken place. I warned her that if I received another call, I would escalate the matter and then promptly ended the conversation.

Received a call today, and I’m absolutely fed up with these incessant nuisance calls. I understand that folks need to earn a living, but if I had been involved in an accident-just to be clear, I haven’t-I’d expect to be approached by a respectable company of my choosing. The caller was a woman with a foreign accent, and the moment I informed her that no one in my household has had any accidents, she promptly hung up. It’s astonishing how lacking in basic etiquette and customer service some of these callers can be. I took the time to pick up the phone; surely a simple “thank you” and “goodbye” wouldn’t be too much to ask for!

I got a call from this number regarding an accident that I supposedly had in the past two and a half years. Figured I’d have a bit of a giggle with the lady on the other end, so I played along with her questions (just to clarify, I’ve never been in an accident). After a few responses, I joked that I didn’t make it through the accident and that she was chatting with a ghost on the line. Oddly enough, the conversation continued for a few more minutes, and she even wished me a lovely day before I decided to hang up. What a bizarre experience! Hahaha!

I've just received my third call from this number today. The chap on the line, who had an Asian accent, claimed he was calling regarding an accident I supposedly had not long ago. Naturally, I enquired about the name of that company, but he couldn’t provide me with any details, nor could he disclose the name of his own company. I had a rather amusing call from someone purporting to be "Albert," claiming that I'd been involved in an accident. It was evidently a dodgy scheme, and frankly, Albert was not the sharpest tool in the shed. I decided to play along and asked him for his date of birth and his mum's maiden name to confirm his identity. He managed to provide his birthdate, but when it came to his mother's maiden name, he stumbled, and then mentioned that his favourite colour was blue. Quite the character! However, he got a bit cagey when it came to sharing personal details. It's quite clear that this is nothing more than a phishing attempt and ought to be treated with the disdain it warrants.
