It's becoming rather tiresome, to be honest. We keep getting messages and phone calls meant for someone named Melanine or Catherine Williams. I can assure you, we are not associated with either of them! We've only had this phone number for about five weeks now, so one would think it would be clear by now. The persistent annoyance from these callers is really grating, and despite us attempting to reach out via email to clarify that this number is no longer theirs, it seems our messages are falling on deaf ears!

Who on earth are these individuals, and what kind of policies do they adhere to? Their ethics seem quite questionable! They've started bombarding me with text messages and phone calls, and I’m still left scratching my head about what their motives are. I recently found myself in quite the similar situation. I received a text message containing a reference number directed at my landline. When I phoned them back, they attempted to fish for my name. I made it clear that I wasn't about to divulge that information until they revealed exactly who they were seeking. It turns out they were after the former tenant of my flat. After I passed on her current details to them, it seemed to work out nicely. They assured me that they'd remove my number from their records, so all’s well that ends well, I suppose!

However, I'm not Mr Hossain, and frankly, I’m baffled as to how these individuals got hold of my number. I'm in the process of contacting my mobile provider to put a stop to this nonsense. If you happen to return their call, you could unwittingly give them access to a multitude of your personal information. Best to steer clear of it entirely!

The messages always mention some kind of reference code and say I need to get in touch with them straight away. Had a call from that number earlier today as well. I phoned back and gave them the reference number, asking straight up what it was all about. They said they’d have to run through some security questions first. I told them no way until they explained what this was regarding. Eventually, they listed the questions: name, address, postcode, birth date. Can you believe that? The whole chat only lasted around 3 minutes. I reckon they got paid just for the call itself.

I've been getting texts over and over from someone saying "call Lowell urgent" with some reference number. I rang them up to check and they said they were chasing a debt but actually had the wrong person, and promised not to bother me again. Of course, the very next day I get the same message again! It might have been wiser not to settle that bill and to reach out to a solicitor through Citizens Advice instead. It’s rather odd that five years have passed without any action; usually, bailiffs would have made an appearance by now. We highly recommend that you visit Citizens Advice as soon as you can and seek some legal guidance. Plenty of solicitors offer an initial consultation for a small fee, so it’s definitely worth exploring your options!

This number keeps ringing me multiple times every day, leaving messages for a person we've never known or had around here - and we've been in this house for over three decades. They keep saying it’s urgent to get back to them today, and they give a reference number, but it’s said so fast you can’t jot it down. Last December i moved into a new rental and set up a virgin media package which came with a new landline number. For about three weeks now, ive been getting these automated voice messages via sms on my landline twice a day asking for Mrs Hussein to call back urgently. Once i did get through to an actual person who said the calls would stop, but no, they kept coming. Should i just ask virgin to change my number to end this? Its getting really annoying!
