Got a call from this number earlier. The guy wanted me to confirm if I owned the house. He was talking really fast, so I asked him to say again who he was and which company he worked for. Then he just hung up on me.

Someone called saying they were “Chris”, some insulation advisor from around here. He asked if I was the homeowner and wanted me to confirm. I asked him who he thought he was chatting to, then he just ended the call. I’m also in Swindon, so looks like they’re just picking numbers from the directory right now.

Got a call from 01135097141 yesterday, they said they were from some Insulation Inspection company. It showed up as an International number on my phone but when I called back, I found the numbers were actually legit. Total scammers. If you can spare some time, mess about with them - better than them hassling people who might actually fall for it!

This bloke called himself Chris and claimed to be a Local Energy Expert. He said he got our phone number because we’d had some home improvements done through a Government Grant, like loft or cavity wall insulation. But when we questioned him about it, he just ended the call.

Today, 17/02/2021, at about 11.14am, I got a call from this number. The bloke on the line said his name was Chris and claimed to be the local energy rep for my area. He started off by calling me the homeowner. I mentioned that my number was ex-directory, but he kept going on about insulation offers. I cut him off, telling him not to call ex-directory numbers and that I wasn’t interested. Then he just ended the call.

Some bloke claimed to be an energy advisor for the local area but called me out of the blue. I told him to buzz off and ended the call. The number showed a Leeds area code, so there’s no chance he’s actually local to west Oxfordshire.

Got a call about some sort of government deal for loft insulation in our postcode, said they were checking who had taken part. They asked how old I was and when I asked why that mattered, the bloke just cut off the call. At first it seemed proper, but he was pretty unclear about what was going on. Something didn’t sit right with me about the whole thing.

Some guy rang me claiming he was the energy manager for where I live, but his number was from Leeds and I'm actually in Southampton! He started asking about my loft insulation and then went on about the energy supply, but I just cut him off and said thanks, bye.
