This number called me just now, and weirdly it showed up as "International Grocers Leeds"! Normally, these calls come from random numbers with changing area codes pretending to be local somewhere in the UK. Funny thing is, I was watching a BBC programme about scam busting at the time, so the ringtone really caught my attention. Of course, I checked the number straight away and saw it’s been linked to loads of different “businesses” over time. Proper classic scam behaviour. Leeds International Grocers? Honestly, what a ridiculous fake name to pick!

I'm rather convinced that they were rather forceful in their approach. It seems my email may have been restricted by them, and they were trying to charge a £2 registration fee to forward some documents. I've reached out to my actual supplier, who quite definitely is not BT, despite their claims.

On the 23rd of September, I got a call on my BT landline in Leeds from 01132947987. First, there was just silence, then some weird static sounds followed by a bleep, then they kept saying hello hello. I said "Who is this? What do you want?" and decided to just hang up. Really glad I did, and I’ve reported it to bt.com/scams.

I’ve had a woman ring me three times from this number. Every time I tell her I’m not keen, but she keeps on calling. Someone rang me saying they were from OpenReach, claiming my IP had been involved in some hacking activity. Since I’d just got a new line installed through OpenReach, I thought maybe it could be legit. I asked them to give me the external IP address they were talking about. After that, they got all flustered and started spouting rubbish to hide the fact they had no clue. When I called them out on it, they turned really rude. I mentioned that a proper OpenReach employee wouldn’t speak like that to a customer, and then they just got even nastier before hanging up on me.

Got a call from this number earlier today. I picked up and there was a brief pause, then I could hear some background noise like a busy call centre. A guy with a strong accent who said his name was John started telling me our Virgin Media router was causing internet problems all over the town because of some setting on my Windows computer at home. Got a call from some Asian call centre claiming to be Sky Broadband. I told them straight up it sounded like a scam, but she kept trying to convince me otherwise. So, I asked for a genuine number to ring them back and wanted to check my broadband charges. Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up on me. Proper rude behaviour, haha!

If that number calls me again, I'm letting my dog loose on them, no doubt.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent who claimed he was from Sky wanting to talk about my broadband. I told him I’m not a Sky customer, but he kept insisting they’re contacting everyone in the UK since Sky apparently handles most internet deals. Didn’t buy it and just ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam.

To the so-called Sky Tech Team (if that even exists), is your internet all fuzzy and dim, like it’s got a murky tint? Or is it more like a blinding white, almost like a mouthful of toothpowder?

Got a call from a woman with a heavy Indian accent saying she was from BT about my internet. I stopped using BT ages ago, so I asked what the call was about and she just cut off. Seems like a scam or phishing attempt to me. Blocked the number straight away.

They keep calling back non stop. When I finally decide to check the answerphone, theres no message left at all. Really annoying!

When I picked up the call, there was complete silence on the other end. Tried ringing them back from a different line, and it had this weird international ring before a voicemail said the inbox was full. Definitely seems like some sort of spam to me.

Got a missed call but no voicemail or anything. Been getting loads of calls from numbers like this on my landline recently, so probably some cold caller or maybe even a scammer.

Got a call from a woman who didn’t sound English at all, saying she was from Microsoft about some issues with my PC. I told her I don’t have a computer, but she kept insisting there was one linked to my address. I asked her to explain since I had no clue, then she started swearing and just ended the call. Total scam.

Received a call claiming to be from Microsoft, and I absolutely lost my cool on the line, telling them where to shove it. Just a bunch of scammers attempting to breach my bank details!
