When I asked for the account holder’s name to check, he couldn’t give it due to “data security.” The more I dodged his questions, the grumpier he got, and eventually he just slammed the phone down on me.

Got a call supposedly from Virgin Media, but the connection was awful, sounded like it was coming from abroad. Told them straight up I’m not with Virgin Media and they just hung up. Been getting a bunch of these annoying calls lately, from all sorts of different numbers, both mobiles and landlines. Honestly, it’s become properly frustrating.

Got a call today from a woman with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying there was some urgent broadband problem. She sounded like she was just reading off a script, so I thought it was a scam and ended the call. Afterwards, the same number has called me three more times but I didn’t pick up any of them. They never bother leaving a voicemail either, which seems odd if it was truly something urgent.

Somebody rang up saying they were from Virgin Media, asked me to download some app so they could 'sort things out' for me. Yeah, right! The second I did that, apparently they’d tell me my IP address, but funny enough, they couldn’t tell me my own account number. Oddly enough, the call I got about an hour before had no problem giving me my account and even my area code 😂🤣. Safe to say neither of those numbers were anywhere close to mine. Honestly, I’m a bit offended they think I’m naive enough to fall for their rubbish scam. 😭😭😭😭

I got a call from this guy with a really thick Indian accent saying he was from Virgin Media. I just ended the call straight away, and then he phoned me back almost right away sounding really pushy, asking why I’d cut him off. I told him, “Why are you even calling? Looking for my bank details or something?” That didn’t seem to go down well with him! So I quickly put the phone down and blocked the number after that.

On Tuesday 15/06/21 bout 10:15 in the mornin, I picked up 01132942321 but there was just silence, no voicemail or message left which made me suspect it was a scam straight away so I just hung up. Usually I let calls go to voicemail since I get loads of scam calls all the time. My tip is to keep a note of any unfamiliar numbers that ring you and then look them up online before answering again. If you don’t know the number, it’s safer to just block it cos these scammers sometimes use info from your email or friends to try and get to you through your phone. Total scammy behaviour.
