This definitely seems dodgy, I'd just give it a miss.

Lately, I kept getting calls from various 08 numbers telling me through a recorded message that my broadband was about to get cut off. This went on and off for a few weeks, which was really annoying. I eventually contacted my network provider to report the issue and get it sorted.
