We received a call from some baffling individuals claiming to be connected with our bank, insisting there was something crucial and private that they needed to discuss. They insisted that we must share our personal information before they could proceed. We promptly told them where to shove it and hung up. Following this, we reached out to our bank for clarification, and they confirmed that they would never request our details over the phone since they already have them on record. Didn't waste another second on that nonsense!11 yearsAllegedly, this lot are linked to the National Australia Group and supposedly act on behalf of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks. When you give them a ring, they’ll be keen to ask for your name and postcode. We decided not to delve deeper into the conversation, especially since we don’t hold any accounts with either of the banks they mentioned. Hence, we can only assume this was some sort of scam attempt.National Australia GroupClydesdale and Yorkshire Banks11 yearsOn Saturday, the second of November in the year 2008, at around nine in the morning, I was rather perturbed to receive four calls from these jokers! We noticed there was a missing zero at the start of their number, so we decided to ring them back to find out who they were. When they answered, they didn’t even bother to identify their company, just said, "How can we assist you?" Quite odd, really. They then asked for our postcode, which we provided, only for them to inform us that they had no connection with their computer system and that we shouldn’t be concerned. I pressed them for the name of their business three times, and when I inquired if they were a debt collection agency, they firmly denied it and abruptly hung up. How very peculiar!Submit Your Own Report (0113 288 2843)
