I received a call that just rang for a good ten seconds without anyone saying a word, so I’ve decided to add the number to my blocked list. It seems there are others who’ve reported similar experiences, with someone masquerading as BT. I’ve encountered this from at least two different numbers myself. It’s rather frustrating how they use various numbers to bypass our call blocking efforts. Honestly, the telecoms need to step up their game and tackle these unregistered numbers more effectively.

Received a call from BT claiming there was an issue with my broadband, but I can’t find any trouble on my end whatsoever. Quite odd, really!

I received an unsolicited phone call earlier. The caller claimed to be representing Open Reach for BT. He mentioned BT on two occasions. However, his accent was quite thick, sounding distinctly Asian Indian. When I probed further, he modified his response and referred to Open Reach Network. He insisted that his company was associated with BT. Curious about the exact name of the company, I pressed on, and he revealed it was called One Bill. I informed him that I was on the TPS list and intended to report his company, hoping they’d face a hefty penalty for their actions. At that point, he abruptly hung up.
