This firm rang me about half a year ago and left a message asking me to get back to them. I didn’t bother then. They’ve just phoned once more and left another voicemail saying the same thing. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a debt collector in Leeds. They left a voicemail but it was pretty hard to understand cause they pronounced things really badly. They tried to leave a letter code using the phonetic alphabet, but I couldn’t make out the rest of what they said. Best to mark the number as spam and just ignore it.

Trans world keeps ringing me, but don’t stress about it, the fees can’t really be enforced through eBay since they’re an offshore outfit, so it won’t harm your credit score. Only start worrying if you get a proper letter from them - a real debt collector will send one as part of the legal steps, but this ‘company’ won’t bother. Just pick up and tell them to call back at the weekend if they want to chat about money, or say you’re closed then. Or ask them to put it in writing, which they can’t do because they don’t have your address - so don’t give it to them either.

They said they’d sent an email to my ebay account, but I knew that wasn’t true. I told them I’d get back through my ebay account if they were real. Obviously, they’re not.

NEVER share your info with these lot!!! When they asked for my details I said no way, then the guy went all aggressive and rude with me. He couldn’t even say what company he was with, just kept saying eBay. If it’s a legit collection firm working for eBay, surely they’d tell me who they are upfront without needing my info. some bloke named adam rang me, said he was from a company called teams collect and claimed he was working for ebay. he told me i owed £19.42 and wanted me to pay using my card on the spot. well, no way was i giving my card details over the phone. then he suggested i pop down to my local natwest branch and pay cash or cheque instead. if anyone gets a call from this number just hang up and report it to the police - sounds like a ebay scam. the number was 0113 273 5400, based in leeds, england.

Today, we received a call at around two in the afternoon, followed by another one at 6:14 this evening. It’s quite baffling that these callers never leave a message, and we don’t have the foggiest idea who they are. We’ve resolved never to pick up. It appears to be the Newman collection agency, employing some rather aggressive tactics. I suggest we all report them to the Office of Fair Trading!
