Picked up the phone but couldn’t hear anyone speaking, so I decided to block the number.

I got a call out of the blue at my job, and it was strange how much they already knew about me - like my name and where I live. The caller started off asking some questions based on what info he had. He said which company he was from but I didn’t quite catch the name, and it didn’t ring any bells with the companies I work with. I told him I’m not comfortable sharing personal stuff with people who just cold call. Before I could say more, he ended the call.

I reckon this is the same firm ringing me, just using different numbers. Since I work remotely, I pick up in a proper professional tone, and they hang up straight away. I've had loads of calls, not always from the same number, but they all stop as soon as I mention I’m working.
