I received a call from someone claiming to represent a consumer organisation aimed at helping us cut costs. They insisted they weren’t affiliated with any marketing firm and asked if I could spare three minutes of my time. When I mentioned that I was too busy to chat, they seemed quite taken aback. They went on to say that they collaborated with a select few companies, which made me suspect they might be one of those firms that share my personal details. I can assure you, I won’t be engaging with them in the future.

I’ve signed up to the directory specifically to avoid these incessant calls, yet these nuisances persist in ringing us. It’s absolutely unsettling, especially considering our mother’s condition; she’s been quite poorly and could easily find herself in a precarious situation.
