A bloke said he was coming round to test my fire alarm for 3 hours but didn’t show up. I’d gone to work not realising the number was dodgy. Felt like a waste of time scam or summat.

My mum has Alzheimer's and she ends up getting like 3 or 4 scam calls every day even though she's on the TPS. BT told me you can only block up to 100 numbers which isn’t really much. I look after her phone bill online so I have to keep an eye on her calls every single day.

I've been getting calls like this from different numbers, not just this one. We recently switched to a BT phone hoping it would stop these annoying calls, but it doesn't seem to do much. Pretty frustrating, really.

They’ve rung me like 4 times over the past couple days but never left any voicemail or anything. Pretty annoying.

Honestly, I just try to keep them on the line for as long as I can. Makes it more expensive for the scammer, and it slows them down from moving on to trick someone else. It’s a small way to mess up their whole scam that’s usually targeting older folks who might not be as savvy.

This number pops up with a Leeds dialling code but I doubt they’re actually based there. Totally a scam, so best to block it straight away. Legit internet companies don’t ring you out of the blue like that.

I missed the caller's name, but it was a recorded message warning me that my internet might get cut off. They asked me to press a number to call them back, but I just hung up.

I got a call from them as well. I never answer numbers I don’t know, simple as that. If it’s something important and they actually know me, they’d leave a voicemail - which, surprise surprise, never happens! I’ve saved the number under ‘scam’ so the next time they ring (and they surely will) I’ll spot it straight away. Honestly, these folks are really annoying, and it’s about time someone did something to stop this rubbish.

I really don’t get why BT hasn’t blocked this number yet. It makes it so stressful, especially for elderly folk who might get frightened by calls like this. They should really do something about it.

Like some folks have said, I got one of those annoying calls too. It was a recorded voice warning me about my computer being disconnected or something. I didn't even bother hanging around to hear the rest. Seriously, who are these shameless scammers?

01132567836 called me the other day, and obviously I was curious so I checked it out. Turns out they’re scammers trying to trick you into letting them access your PC, then get you to enter your bank details so they can clean out your account. Their story kept changing - at one point, I wasn’t speaking to some internet company anymore but rather the police, accusing me of avoiding taxes and demanding I pay fines straight away! Absolutely dodgy.

I got a call saying my IP address was hacked in like five diffrent countries. they told me to hit 1 to speak with their tech team and claim a free router. quite dodgy if you ask me.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my internet and they could fix it. When I told them they weren’t actually from TalkTalk and called them out as scammers, they just hung up on me.

It was lunchtime when I got a call. I didn't pick up since the number looked familiar - had about ten pesky calls from the same one just yesterday. These days, I always check 'who called me' before bothering to answer.

Got a call with a recorded message saying my internet had been hacked and to hit 1 to talk to an expert. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
