Got a call from an automated dialler, but when I picked up, there was complete silence. Pretty sure it’s some sort of scam going on.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from my bank, saying there were some unauthorised payments from Amazon on my account. I firmly stated that I wouldn’t be disclosing any personal information and promptly ended the call.

I've had persistent phone calls at my elderly mum’s home, who is 87 and finds it challenging to get around. The caller insisted he was from Microsoft tech support and claimed there was a security concern. No matter how many times I inquired about whom he wished to talk to, he just kept repeating, “Madam, there’s a security breach,” in a thick Indian accent. It got quite concerning as he even questioned why I had hung up on him. The situation was quite distressing as I’d only come to see my mum, and these incessant calls were clearly upsetting her and heightening her anxiety. Today, I received a staggering six calls between 10 in the morning and 7:20 in the evening, all from the same number. We're located in the B11 postcode area.

If this scammer doesn’t stop, we might end up hacking into his computer illegally. It’s so annoying!

Got a call from this number pretty early, around half past nine in the morning. I guess they think people will be at work then. They left a voicemail claiming my computer was involved in some illegal internet activity. Tried calling the number back from another line but no answer at all. Seems dodgy to me.
