Got a call with some robot bloke saying it was from BT, but sounded like a proper scam. I’ve had a bunch of these calls from different 0113 numbers before, so I just blocked it and ended the call straight away. You’d reckon these scammers might do a bit of research first, seeing as it’s not even called British Telecom or British Telecommunications anymore, that’s been ages!

This happened to me quite a few times - an automated female voice with an American accent saying my internet was at risk and telling me to press some buttons. I never said a word or pushed anything, just ended the call straight away.
