My phone keeps buzzing with calls from someone claiming to be BT but they always cut off right after I pick up. They've called loads of times already, really gets on my nerves!

i got a call from a guy with a thick accent saying he was calling from BT about my internet being slow. he then asked me for my ### and just ended the call afterwards. quite suspicious if you ask me!

I got a call from someone with a really thick accent claiming to be from BT. She told me my internet would be cut off for a few days because apparently my IP and account had been hacked. She asked if I could get on my computer so she could help fix the issue and keep my details safe. It sounded dodgy, so I rang BT myself and they confirmed it was a scam. They said they never get in touch like that by phone, email, or text. They advised me to notify my phone company and have the number blocked. Just thought I’d share so others don’t fall for it.

I got a call from someone with a really thick accent claiming to be from BT. She told me my account and IP address had been hacked and that my phone would be cut off for a few days. She asked me to get on my computer so she could help fix it, saying it would keep my personal info safe. I reached out to BT directly and they told me it’s a scam, and that they never get in touch like that - not phone call, email, or text. They said I should tell my provider and have them block the number. Hopefully, sharing this warns others too.

The number shows up as if it's from Leeds, but when you pick up, it’s actually some overseas call centre claiming to be B.T. I ended up just hanging up because it sounded dodgy, probably a scam.

I got a call from someone with a really strong accent who said that someone using my number had made a call and requested to disconnect my line. She asked me to confirm if that was right. I told her I wasn’t sure about the call and felt it seemed dodgy. She then asked why I thought it was a scam, and before I could answer, she just ended the call. Felt pretty suspicious to me.

I couldn’t catch what they were saying and when I asked them to say it again, they just ended the call. Proper rude!
