Had this aggressive salesman who just wouldn’t quit, no matter how many times I said no. Honestly, the easiest way was just to hang up on the bugger.

Got a call from someone saying they're working for BT around here tomorrow and needed a quick chat about my phone line. I told them straight up I don't even have a phone line - we're a small business and we run everything off mobiles and tethering with decent internet. Told them cheers but no thanks and ended the call.

Got a call from a woman saying she’d talked to one of our partners at the practice, even named them, but seems like a load of rubbish. When I explained we don’t do sales or random calls, she finally admitted she was from Connex or something like K-nex? Said she’d ring back, but I’m not holding my breath. Caller ID showed Connex, but I reckon it’s just another sales pitch.

Just got called by a really persistent telemarketer. She kept insisting I had agreed to something a while back, but I don’t remember any of it. Stuffed on acting like she knew me personally. Then she said she’d be around here tomorrow and was dead set on meeting up. Wouldn’t stop talking or accept a simple no. Seriously, watch out for this one!

I told this girl that we don’t take calls from third parties about our utilities, but she was proper rude about it. She went on to say “I’ll call back when you’re in a better mood,” even after I asked her to remove us from their call list. Bit annoying, to be honest.

So someone rang up asking for Gail Platt, then had a laugh saying it wasn’t the Gail from Corrie! A bit later, the same number called again, this time asking for someone who’s actually employed here. When no one picked up, they said they’d just send an email instead. Quite a strange experience!
