Had this aggressive salesman who just wouldn’t quit, no matter how many times I said no. Honestly, the easiest way was just to hang up on the bugger.

Got a call from someone saying they're working for BT around here tomorrow and needed a quick chat about my phone line. I told them straight up I don't even have a phone line - we're a small business and we run everything off mobiles and tethering with decent internet. Told them cheers but no thanks and ended the call.

I recently had a run-in with a woman who asserted that she'd had a chat with one of our practice partners *(mentioning him by name)*, but I reckon she was pulling my leg. When I mentioned that he doesn't accept unsolicited or sales calls, she finally admitted she was representing Connex/K-nex (or something similar) and would ring back later. Honestly, I doubt she's going to find any success with that approach. - Caller: Connex

Just got called by a really persistent telemarketer. She kept insisting I had agreed to something a while back, but I don’t remember any of it. Stuffed on acting like she knew me personally. Then she said she’d be around here tomorrow and was dead set on meeting up. Wouldn’t stop talking or accept a simple no. Seriously, watch out for this one!

I encountered an exceedingly impolite young lady after I mentioned that we don’t engage with third parties regarding our utilities. She had the audacity to remark, "I’ll call back when you're feeling friendlier," all while I was quite clearly requesting to have my name removed from their potential customer list. Quite absurd, really!

So someone rang up asking for Gail Platt, then had a laugh saying it wasn’t the Gail from Corrie! A bit later, the same number called again, this time asking for someone who’s actually employed here. When no one picked up, they said they’d just send an email instead. Quite a strange experience!
