Got a call on my mobile about cheaper landline rental. I don’t even own a landline! These guys have been ringing me for ages and seem to hire a bunch of clueless people who just don’t pay attention.

I picked up and they just hung up straight away. Tried ringing back but it only rang twice before cutting off with a busy signal. Blocked now.

Some woman rang up asking for a former director, I told her he’d retired and wasn’t around anymore, she just snorted and cut the call off. Tried ringing her back but she kept disconnecting. I’ve reported them to Ofcom and the ICO now.

Tried to reach the business owner but they never say what it’s about, just keep asking for mobile numbers to ring back. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. When I’ve actually spoken to them, they claim they’re calling for BT but won’t give straight answers to any questions.

I’m absolutely fed up with these persistent nuisance calls, even after I've explicitly requested that they cease contacting us and remove our details. The number in question is 01726 833390, and it’s becoming a right pain!

I received a telephone call from someone purporting to be with BT Openreach, who was harping on about potential issues with our phone line and the costs associated with it. I made it clear I wasn’t interested, after which he became rather condescending, prompting me to end the conversation. To my surprise, he called back immediately and launched into a spiel with my son, who also told him we weren't keen on the offer, resulting in another hung-up call. This chap persisted, ringing us a staggering ten times! We opted to let the calls go to voicemail until he finally blocked our number for a bit. My husband, growing rather irritated with the constant disturbances, answered one of the calls and experienced the same rudeness, during which the caller absurdly claimed we had used foul language. My husband promptly hung up once more. Despite our attempts to ignore him, he kept calling, so we ended up leaving the phone off the hook for a good five minutes. A half hour later, this same individual rang back again, now identifying himself as Ryan from Connect. He would not connect the call to anyone and had the audacity to leave us listening to dead air. Quite the ordeal!

I've been inundated with calls from aggressive sales reps claiming to be from 'Connect', pushing their so-called phone line upgrades. It’s quite baffling how they are managing to utilise this number, which seems to originate from a recruitment agency.

Got a call from Openreach about some broadband upgrade stuff, but it felt a bit off. Decided to block the number using BT Callguardian just in case.

Someone rang me up, asked for me by name and said "Just a quick word". Then they just cut off the call! A few moments later, the same number rang again and I figured it was a sales pitch, so I ended the call. They tried twice more before I had to tell them to leave me alone. So rude and irritating. Ugh!

Got pretty rude after I told them no - Connex Telecoms Company. They wanted to visit our office to talk about saving money but refused to admit it was a sales pitch. I told them I didn’t appreciate being called ‘love’ when they said ‘we’re here to save you money on your contract, love’, and the sales person got annoyed and just hung up. Really patronising and quite nasty.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Openreach, saying they needed to check my broadband speed to ensure it's the best I’m getting. Total scam though, but I did manage to hang up on them.

They called asking for someone I don’t know at all, then just hung up once I said they’d got the wrong number. Blocked the number straight away.

I've been inundated with persistent calls, initially inquiring about the person responsible for the phone bill, and then trying to get through to someone specific. The calls have been alarmingly frequent, with just a few minutes separating each one. Eventually, one caller introduced themselves as "Jake from Connex", but as soon as I engaged, they promptly cut off the line. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

They rang, but as soon as they heard the person wasn’t in, they just ended the call. I tried ringing back to tell them not to bother calling anymore, but they cut me off before I could say anything.
