Got a call at half past ten, picked up and then nothing, line just dropped. Looks like one of those robocalls, probably missed the beep or whatever. Luckily I’m quick enough most times.
Whenever I get calls like this on my phone, I save the number under a contact called SCAM, so if they try again it’s an automatic block straight away.

I got a call where they were after my husband, so I offered to pass on a message. Suddenly, this bloke starts going on about “the other half” like I’d find it funny or something. I told him to cut the nonsense and just say who he was and what he wanted. Then, out of nowhere, he starts doing a ridiculous impression of how I sound - like some dodgy comedy act. That was the moment I ended the call. Of course, they rang me again, but they’re wasting their time now. Seriously, who exactly thinks anyone’s gonna fall for these daft calls?

What an absolute annoyance these callers are. Honestly, just end the call straight away. They even went so far as to tell one of the businesses nearby that I’d made an appointment, which wasn’t true at all. Then, about a week later, they rang me again claiming a different neighbour had booked an appointment and were encouraging me to do the same. I looked into it, and once more, it turned out to be a complete fabrication.

They keep ringing me up even after I've said we're not interested. Every time, it's a different name they ask for, but I always say the same thing - we’re not interested. Still, she won’t give up and just won’t accept no for an answer. Now she’s started hanging up as soon as I pick up, which is pretty ridiculous. What a pain!

I always try to keep calm with these callers.
Here’s a couple of tricks I often use:
1) I say sorry, but I never agree to anything on the phone, ask them to send me the info by post instead.

2) I ask if I can speak to the owner, then call out their name loudly upstairs before putting the phone down in another room. They end up waiting ages, get fed up and hang up when I come back after a good ten minutes. Sorted!

These people keep calling everyday, won’t accept a simple no from us! They’re constantly pushing us to switch our phone provider, really annoying and quite impolite.
