If anyone has any advice on how to handle this situation, I’d be most grateful, as it’s becoming a right nuisance on my mobile.

Got a call from someone with an Indian or Pakistani accent saying my internet was slow and I had to sort it out on my computer. Total scam, sounded exactly like the old wannacry virus trick. Watch out for this one.

Got a call that just cut off as soon as I picked up, so I rang back. The bloke said he was from SME insurance, so I asked why they were cold calling me when I’m on the TPS. He apologised and wanted my postcode to check his system and remove me but I refused to give any more details and said I’d be reporting them to the TPS. There is a SME Insurance in Leeds but their number on the website doesn’t match this one.

It's quite the nuisance, really. The insurance company seems to be relentless, calling me a couple of times each week. I have no business ties whatsoever, yet despite my requests to be removed from their call list, they persist. I've stopped picking up whenever they ring, but they just won't quit; I received two calls yesterday alone! Interestingly, every time I take the call, they hang up-almost as if their call costs are being carefully managed.
