I got a call from someone who knew my name and claimed to be from TalkTalk. They told me there was an issue with my internet. Turns out, it was a scam trying to trick me into letting them take control of my computer by pretending to fix a fake virus problem. Definitely wasn’t legit!

Some bloke called saying he was from TalkTalk and mentioned there was an issue with my internet. He even used my name, but I just hung up since I wasn’t in the mood to mess about with potential scams.

Today I got two calls from "Talk Talk." The first time I just left the phone sitting on the table without picking up, thinking it might keep them waiting and maybe annoy them a bit? When I felt like it, I’d go back and actually end the call. Occasionally, I try calling 1471 beforehand to see the number, but it doesn’t work every time. Luckily, this time I managed to get their number after the second ring.

Loads of times ive had these calls pretending they’re from talk talk, and some were actually pretty rude! Would be great if someone would track them down and shut them up, but it feels like no one ever does anything at all.
