I got a call this morning from 0113 212 6025 saying they were calling for Royal Victoria about an accident I supposedly had on 12 May and that they wanted to recover some money already paid. They said they’d send me the documents through the post. The strange part is, I actually did have an accident on 12 May.

Got a call from 01132123065 mentioning some sort of reference number but wouldn’t say anything else. They were looking for my daughter who’s been overseas for a year. Definitely a scam.

Someone rang my partner on their mobile, saying they needed to ring an 013 number about eBay fees. They asked for the address and card details but luckily didn’t get that far. We checked with eBay who confirmed it was a scam, something about £19.20. Sounds like the same call others mentioned back in December.

This is defo a dodgy number connected to 07860 020488 (that one told me to ring this 0113 number). If they get in touch with you, make sure to report it to eBay. Bit of a strange scam as they only wanted £19.20, whereas most scams try and get a few hundred quid from you.

Total scammer! Pretended to be from some debt collection firm working for eBay. They told me to log into my eBay to check messages, but there was nothing there cause I haven't touched that account in ages. When I asked why they were ringing me and where they got my info, they said "I can't explain that for security reasons," but promised I'd get a text with a reference number and a number to call back. Honestly, don't trust them at all - my phone automatically flagged Transcom for spam on texts and calls. Best to avoid and not get caught up with these lot!

Got a letter claiming to be from a debt collector acting for Ebay, asking for £37.99. It wasn’t even sent to me personally but I didn’t want any issues linked to my address. The phone number given was 01132123065. After reading other reviews, I chose not to respond but I did ring Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. They were really supportive. Definately report these scams if you get them, maybe we can get these lot stopped!

Got emails first and then a letter claiming I owe £81. Called eBay and they said I don’t owe a penny. Contacted Action Fraud, gave them all the info, and they told me not to pay or reply to anyone. Seems like these scammers are really going after people.

I’ve had two letters recently regarding alleged debts to eBay - one stating I owe £20.71 and the other £23.17. On Tuesday at 1 PM, I tried to reach ‘Transcom’ but ended up navigating through an automated system. The call abruptly ended with a message claiming they were closed, which feels rather odd. I mean, it's hard to believe that such a large company would have their phones off when I spoke to a representative just five minutes before! It all seems a bit fishy to me, doesn’t it?

Utterly fraudulent! They've claimed that we have an outstanding balance from eBay, which is absurd as we’ve never even set up an account there. Definitely recommend blocking and reporting this nonsense!

Got a letter dated 13/7/17 telling me I owed ebay 48 quid. Problem is, I don't even have an account with that name. Was proper worried coz they said they’d take me to court. I rang them up but didn’t give any personal info, told them it wasn’t me and they said they’d call back. Thankfully, never got another call. Keeping the letter just in case though.

Today I got an email from Transcom saying I had to pay £28 for some admin fee to Ebay or my account will be suspended. I reached out to Ebay and they told me there’s no money owed and to just ignore the email.

this number belongs to a debt recovery agency named transcom. i got a letter from them asking me to pay £40 supposedly for ebay. i contacted ebay, and they told me i dont owe any money. transcom is actually regulated by the financial conduct authority, so if you think they’re bothering you unfairly, you can report them to the fca. i’m planning to do just that.

Hello, I’ve come across this number, which belongs to Transcom Worldwide (UK) Ltd, a debt recovery agency. As far as I'm aware, I haven’t had a direct call from them. However, it does feature on a letter I’ve received from their office. They claimed to have been engaged by eBay to retrieve some funds that they suspected I owe them. I reached out to eBay regarding this situation, and indeed, it was confirmed that they had employed Transcom for this purpose. It turned out that I had fallen victim to identity theft. Fortunately, it was sorted quite swiftly and to my satisfaction. So, to clarify, Transcom and this number are legitimate. I would caution against hastily labelling a call from this number as merely fraudulent. While it’s wise to be cautious and not divulge personal information too readily, it might be wise to check the reason behind any call you receive from them. Cheers!

Just got a letter telling me I owe £20.00 and if I don’t pay, they might take more steps, even legal stuff. Seriously, how do these folks get away with it sometimes? It’s mad. They claim to be a debt collection company for eBay Europe S.A.R.I and Transom Worldwide (UK) Limited. They really should be stopped.

Since that call, I've been receiving relentless phone calls-sometimes as many as three a day-despite being assured that my number would be removed from their list. eBay confirmed that they shared my information, and now I'm also inundated with calls from various marketing and insurance firms.
